Week 1-7 Update
Week 1-7 Update 30th August
Hello
This term has been very busy. My favourite event was market day and my group made bacon butties. We had to do a lot of preparation for it. In the end we made a really good profit but we thought we wouldn't have one because it was only a short period of time. But anyway we did 66.80 half went to school which left us with 33.40 we split that into three and we all got $11.10 each with ten cents over.
Another great experience was when we went planting at Mokihi Gardens because there is a new wetland and all the plants help clean the water. We planted flax (that's the only name I could remember) little trees and some other plants. There are also some spaces where they are planting native trees so everybody can enjoy the running track that they are adding.
Have you ever heard of cantamaths? well if you haven't your about to find out! Cantamaths is a awesome maths competition where teams are given a series of questions that they have to solve and the first team to finish them all wins. When you get older you can go into a competition where you make projects and enter them they get judged and you either get zero, highly commended or excellence. You know how I was just telling you about the maths questions and stuff so about that the best teams get selected from your school to go verse lots of other schools and whoever wins get bragging rights or something.
