South Sudan Missionaries
Missionaries Visit Thursday 21 March

Today we had a visit from two missionaries named Phil and Janet. I was blown away by the facts the told us so I'm going to tell you. Here are some of the interesting facts we learnt.
- The capital of South Sudan is Juba.
- South Sudan is 40-45 degrees in the day and 30-35 and at night it so very hot.
- Pretty much all of their water comes from the Nile river which flows through Juba.
- There is no sewage in South Sudan.
- All their toilets are long drops and you have to squat.
- The population in Juba is 450,000.
- It is not save to travel on the roads you will most likely get robbed.
- They most commonly travel by planes that usually hold 12 people.
- A one hundred dollar South Sudanese note is worth so 30 cents new Zealand money.
- The most common food is water mixed with flour until it turns to sludge.
- The other most common foods are rice and beans.
- Children are not encouraged to go to school.
