Missionaries Visit Thursday 21 March

Today we had a visit from two missionaries named Phil and Janet. I was blown away by the facts the told us so I'm going to tell you. Here are some of the interesting facts we learnt.
  • The capital of South Sudan is Juba. 
  • South Sudan is 40-45 degrees in the day and 30-35 and at night it so very hot.
  • Pretty much all of their water comes from the Nile river which flows through Juba.
  • There is no sewage in South Sudan.
  • All their toilets are long drops and you have to squat.
  • The population in Juba  is 450,000.
  • It is not save to travel on the roads you will most likely get robbed.
  • They most commonly travel by planes that usually hold 12 people.
  • A one hundred dollar South Sudanese note is worth so 30 cents new Zealand money.
  • The most common food is water mixed with flour until it turns to sludge.
  • The other most common foods are rice and beans.
  • Children are not encouraged to go to school.
  • In South Sudan cows are money lots of cows lots of money.  Thanks for reading, Bryn

Weekly Update 24 May Hello Yesterday we played rugby for winter sport much nicer than last week though. The weather was fantastic, sunshine and no wind. Our first game was against St Martins school they were tough but we bet them. The only reason we bet them is because our players are quick and they made a few sneaky runs. The second game was just as hard we versed Addington. They had one quick guy who was really good at stepping he made some quick runs to the try line. Still we bet them because we tackled well and ripped the ball. And got it out to the fast people and they found the gaps and ran for it. So winter sport was really good. In Religious education we have been learning about Mary the mother of Jesus. We had to record a couple of sentences of each of the important events in Mary's life in buddy's. Green Hat Day

Friday the 15 march Happy Saint Patrick's day for Sunday so today we are having green hat day. I brought a green wig to school.  I'm also looking forward to another global play day. But it's not really Global anymore it's just us. This is our class all dressed up, well at least some of us.  Thanks for reading, see you next week. Bryn

Weekly Update For The 28 June Hello Did you know that it is the second to last week of the term (YAY) so won't be seeing many more blog posts?  Another thing that is exciting is that we get pizza on Monday.  The reason why we get pizza is because we had a big spelling bee thing to raise money for the playground and we were the first class to hand in all of our money.  This morning we had loads of fun because of twister the game where you have to move into specific positions to stay in the game.  The main reason it was so fun is because we had like twelve people on the mat when there's only supposed to be two.     On Thursday we played winter sport you know which sport I play rugby of course the best sport in my opinion.  Our games have been so much more fun because we get to play rugby union instead of ripper rugby.  We played against St Francis of Assisi.  We had a draw and I'm totally happy with that because I had lots of fu...
